Simba was born 30 March 2023 to Arya (Toy Poodle) through Candy’s Cavoodles. His Father was a F2 Theodore (Harley & Co) – both Dam & Sire are DNA Clear.
Simba is vet checked, immunised, flea & worm treated to ensure optimum health and DNA tested for hereditary diseases with Orivet. Full report available for viewing.
Simba is mischievous, full of energy and excited about life in general – he is very well socialised as I run a pet sitting service – and has a beautiful temperament.
I facilitate all mating for the safety and wellbeing of both the Sire and the dame, making sure that behaviorally they are a good match.
You are welcome to be present during the mating however, to reduce the distraction for the dogs during mating we ask that only one family member be present.
As with any reputable service we can only guarantee a mating – not a pregnancy.
The fee payable is $800.00 which includes two ties. The fee is payable is due on first visit once tie has occurred. A full refund will be given upon receipt of a vet letter if the result is a negative pregnancy test.
If there is no pregnancy – there are two options – PLEASE CHOOSE ONE:
1. Return for a free season for her next heat cycle only. However, please ensure she is progesterone tested.
2. We will refund 50% on the fee payable. You are not obligated to return next season. However, we would appreciate your business.
Requests to pay the fee at 2nd mating or confirmation of pregnancy will be denied. The full fee will be charged even if one one tie is successful. By proceeding with our service you agree to update us of the pregnancy and litter outcomes (eg numbers, gender and colours).
Stud services will be done in Wynnum West, Qld. Simba will perform best in his own environment. We do not offer overnight boarding.
Please have your girl vet checked to ensure your girl is in good health and fit for breeding and has a good temperament.
Have her checked for luxating patella’s as this is a genetic condition that can be passed on the pups, her heart, hips and eyes should also be checked.
You may also wish to have her DNA Tested through Orivet for a full breed profile. Approx $200. This can take up to 6 weeks before you receive the report back from Orivet. However, this is worth the expense and gives you and your puppy families peace of mind that they are getting a healthy puppy.
She must be up to date with her vaccination and worming before visiting.
A progesterone test at Day 5 after bleeding starts is also an ideal method to find out your girl’s optimum days of falling pregnant. You may need to then have one or two more tests until the vet sees a spike. This is usually done by the vet. Avoid vets that do not give same day results as you can miss her most fertile days while waiting for the outcome of testing.
The vet will advise you of the days to mate her. Ideal time of mating is when the progesterone levels of your girl is above 30 and less than 80.
You are paying for a service, not a pregnancy. We cannot and will not guarantee a pregnancy outcome. Timing is EVERYTHING and not in our control. There could be various reasons why your girl would not fall pregnant.
If your girl has had previous litters, it doesn’t mean she will have a successful pregnancy. Just as we as humans cannot guarantee our fertility, we also can’t guarantee a successful pregnancy.
Pregnancy can result from either a natural tie or slip mating. If no tie happens but slip mating has occurred, the stud fee will still be charged. However, if a pregnancy does not occur we will refund $ 400.00 (Please supply vet letter).
A copy of Simba’s DNA Report is available to view prior to deciding to proceed with mating.
A copy of Simba’s DNA Report is available on request once you have used and paid for the stud service.
We ask that you keep this report private and confidential and do not break our trust by copying, reproducing in any way or sending electronically to third parties.
We ask that the DNA Report is not to be given to any other persons (even to puppy buyers), however may be viewed by the buyer when they come to visit your puppies as proof that Simba is the Sire and DNA Clear. This is to avoid the misuse of our DNA Report
To help prevent infections between the two dogs please bath and groom a few days before mating – NOT ON THE DAY OF MATING.
This is so her scent is strong on the day she visits Simba.
Shave her vulva, but not too close of a shave in case it becomes irritated.
We will not be financially responsible for any loss of pregnancy, loss of puppies or hereditary conditions passed onto the pups.
By proceeding with our service, you agree not to hold us liable for any losses you experience whether it’s the breeding dam or puppies.
We won’t be held liable or responsible for hereditary conditions developed in the puppies later in life.
Some girls bleed during their heat season. Their first day of bleeding is Day 1. All bitches are different, however, as a general guide, the bleeding is usually finished around Day 7 at which time they are ovulating.
From Day 8—13 the girl is usually ready to receive a male to mate with. Please note that some girls ovulate much earlier eg. Ovulate at Day 4 or 5 and are ready to mate with a male from Day 5 or Day 6.
A wipe test of her vulva every morning with a tissue in the lead up to her heat will help you pin-point her first day of bleeding. Continue this until h er discharge becomes clearer, and blood has thinned out. Along with this, she will flag he tail. The usual signs to look out for is the flagging tail. When scratch around the tail area, the girl will either lift her tail or move her tail on either side to reveal her swollen vulva.
The bleeding would have stopped and instead becomes a clear discharge. Below is a great youtube link to help you identify if your girl is ready for mating. If you girl is not moving her tail to the side or up, it is likely that she is not ready for mating.
After ovulation, the eggs are viable for around 5 days.
Sperm can live around 5-6 days in the female.
One tie or slip mating is enough for a pregnancy.
A second tie the day after or third day after ovulation is still within the fertile period.
